Program Description

The Texas Mexico Cup Tournament SMS Program is an operational messaging service operated by 23 Birdies, LLC in partnership with MJGA (Mexico Junior Golf Association). The program is used solely to coordinate authorized tournament staff during the event.

Recipients are limited to:

The SMS Program is used to send the following types of messages:

Opt-In (Consent)

Recipients are added to the SMS Program by an authorized tournament administrator through the SMS Recipients module of the tournament admin application. The administrator verbally or in writing confirms that the recipient has agreed to receive tournament operations SMS notifications before checking the consent checkbox.

The consent confirmation reads:

Consent is recorded in our system with a timestamp at the moment the administrator confirms it. Phone numbers without recorded consent will not receive SMS messages — the messaging system refuses to send when consent is not on file.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Most recipients will receive a small number of messages per tournament day during active event dates (typically fewer than 10). Volume increases on tournament days when rules requests, pace alerts, or weather events occur. Outside of event dates, messaging is minimal.

Carrier Disclaimer

Message and data rates may apply. The Texas Mexico Cup Tournament does not charge for SMS messages, but standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Please consult your wireless plan for details.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying with any of the following keywords to any tournament SMS:

Upon receiving an opt-out request, you will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging the request. After confirmation, you will receive no further tournament SMS messages unless you opt back in.

Opt-out is processed automatically by Twilio's carrier-compliant Advanced Opt-Out at the Messaging Service level.
